new recruits
Though certain members of team Heeb believe we should not recruit too many new members, id like to see us have an international presence. I think these two gents fit the description of what Heeb/Asylum might be looking for in new members- drunk, Eastern Europeans with bikes... ... i think one may even have a beard (double bonus). that one guy must put out a lot of power, as he intends to ride his bike with what seems to be a 1-2 pood log on the back. he also has no bungees or retaining devices, from that i deduced he has great balance and bike control- hes ideal for mtb/trials riding. these guys obviously know how to have fun and they are clearly good riders= i went them on Heeb/Asylum.Sponsors would be all up ons if we had East Coast AND East European presences. this guy is just my mascot, for me personally... ... as he mimics my style of riding flawlessly. This guy mimics Jeff via roadside crashes You tha man jeff- congrats on not failing school (or life, i guess)

NUUN
I just spent a decent amount of time which i could have been using to edit a 16 page paper on post Communist Hungarian film, but i wrote about good news i received. In order to save time i will now begin an abridged version...
I wrote to Scott, the head honcho over at NUUN-my 2010 bike sponsor- and asked about a sponsorship for team heeb. Scott got back to me in 3 hours (probably before he was going to leave work as it was around 530 pm wets coast-thats dedication) and said this:
Hey Adam,
Here at nuun we sponsor lots of teams out there! A majority of our sponsorships are in the form of pro-deals through our website with a discount code specific for the team. We also can do special deals on bottles. We are rearranging our sponsorships for 2011 and there should be much more opportunity out there for teams and for nuun.
Thanks for keeping us in mind. Once you have the team together, just touch base with us again and we would be glad to support the team the best we can.
glad you love the nuun and are spreading the love! much appreciated.
cheers for now!

... here comes more of the abridging... I LIKE NUUN AND WOULD LOVE FOR THEM TO SPONSOR HEEB IN 2011 (in a capacity which will have to be worked out with them).
Thanks Scott
I even chose a dumber picture ^^because i dont feel like searching for the "good one".

upgrade
i am feeling very inspired after a nice 60 mile ride today. Heeburton Levine has just upgraded to cat 4 leaving me in the dust (as i dont haven an official usac license yet due to cash restraints), but i have decided that for the 2012 season (yeah, its kinda far away, and ill probably be dead by then) i am going to be cat 3 for road.
i know i have always stated that i am a mountainbiker first and foremost (and this still remains true), but i think id like to be cat 3 in road cause it sounds legit. also, having a goal will keep me motivated-and road racing is a great way to train for mountain races. speaking of such things has reminded me that i will be doing the granogue MASS race on may 2nd in DE, where i will hope for another muddy 3rd place this year- this will not happen, as i only did well because people dropped out due to the worst weather EVER. yes, EVER.
also, if i am free i will be sojourning to THE SWAP MEET, if anyone wants to come for some fun and cheap cheap bike parts...
Road UpgradesGuidelines and Notes by Category:
5-4: Experience in 10 mass start races.
Local Associations may also establish policies where upgrade credit is given for taking a sanctioned rider education clinic.
4-3: 20 points in any 12-month period; or experience in 25 races with a minimum of 10 top ten finishes with fields of 30 riders or more, or 20 pack finishes with fields over 50. 30 points in 12 months is an automatic upgrade
3-2: 25 points in any 12-month period
40 points in 12 months is an automatic upgrade
2-1: 30 points in any 12-month period
50 points in 12 months is an automatic upgrade

Кибуц Беери
Yours truly thinks itd be cool to go to israel to mountainbike. In fact, i have really wanted to do it, as i did it once for a half-day and really enjoyed myself. however, from the looks of many youtube videos, the riders there suck. itd make my day if i could ride with some Russians...
... i wonder if the word "gnar" can be understood by Russians-it does not apply to these guys though ^^^
maybe team heeb should try and get this guy to join

$ponsorship?
Teem (Team) HEEB is looking for sponsors for a fun-having, hardworking, shit-talking bike team. Mountain bikes, road bikes, downhill, observed trials, loaded touring (?), i guess were into it all, we just need sponsors. send us your ideas or tell us via facebook.
